About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and ship new products and features, including AI-powered automation and intelligence
- Build and ship AI-driven features such as intelligent estimating, predictive crew optimization, and automated insights
- Own system reliability and performance, ensuring the platform is secure, observable, automated, and scalable
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and design to translate ideas into practical solutions
- Refine technical standards and processes covering testing, deployment, documentation, and code review
- Help shape team culture, growth, learning, and delivery
- Define and build out OneCrew’s product and platform with the co-founders and engineering team
- Build systems and features that help paving contractors estimate jobs, manage crews, and track profitability in real time
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of software engineering experience in a high velocity environment
- Deep experience with Typescript, NodeJS, React, AWS, and PostgreSQL tech stack a plus
- Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Able to work in the hybrid San Francisco office or relocate to the SF Bay Area
- High standards and craftsmanship
- Collaborative and proactive problem-solving approach
- Ability to balance competing priorities
- Ability to choose simple, elegant solutions and make appropriate investment decisions
