About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Interpret complex sketches, redlines, specification outlines, and logic diagrams to prepare advanced-level designs
Create complex design drawings from general flow diagrams, including piping isometric drawings for construction activities using CAD
Prepare advanced-level design drawings for drainage, grade plans, and structural elements from site proposals, surveys, and basemaps using CAD software
Develop detailed design drawings from general schematic and equipment drawings using CAD software
Coordinate and manage layout design and associated specifications, including design/specification changes
Produce pipeline alignment drawings from preliminary surveys and topography
Verify fabrication and construction through field inspections
Perform interdisciplinary review of drawing sets
Develop and update pipeline and plant instrumentation drawings
Create 3D models, lot plans, and elevation drawings
Generate bills of material to support project execution
Work closely with internal stakeholders on natural gas gathering and processing projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree or technical school certificate along with job-related experience preferred
Experience in the use and function of design tools and office equipment
Previous advanced design and advanced drafting experience
Knowledge of and ability to apply design codes and regulations
Skills in NavisWorks software
Ability to utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and CADWorx software
Ability to apply basic arithmetic, geometry, trigonometry, and decimals/percentages
Drafting Certification preferred
Travel in and around office facilities, outdoor job sites, pipeline locations, and plant locations required
Applicable driver’s license may be required when assigned a company vehicle
