About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, test, calibrate, repair, and maintain orifice, positive, Coriolis, ultrasonic, and dry flow meters
  • Maintain regulator settings, telemetering systems, electronic flow computers, odorant systems, and relief valves
  • Perform measurement, sampling, and regulation operations and maintenance at facilities
  • Calibrate and maintain test instrumentation and auxiliary equipment
  • Drive and maintain a company vehicle
  • Interact effectively with corporate measurement personnel and follow corporate measurement procedures
  • Prepare job orders, completion reports, DOT compliance reports, sample reports, and other documentation
  • Perform meter and regulator installation and/or removal
  • Conduct equipment and operational tests, repairs, and maintenance
  • Generate batch tickets
  • Witness meter calibrations per contractual obligations
  • Respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions
  • Travel to field sites typically within a couple of hours along the pipeline

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Training and/or experience relative to meter testing and installation
  • Experience regulating flow and pressure
  • Knowledge of company and governmental operating and safety procedures
  • Experience servicing and repairing measuring station equipment
  • Ability to interpret measurement data
  • Knowledge of product characteristics
  • Experience reading and interpreting maps, plats, atlas pages, dials, gauges, sample reports, drawings, procedures, correction tables, and applicable operation and safety manuals
  • Ability to install, test, repair, and maintain measurement and regulation equipment
  • Ability to use, maintain, and repair tools and equipment used to regulate gas flow
  • Ability to apply basic arithmetic and formulas to validate volume calculations and corrections
  • Ability to communicate and exchange written and verbal information and instructions
  • Ability to climb ladders and maintain balance on elevated work surfaces
  • Ability to work in confined areas
  • Ability to react immediately to emergency situations
  • Ability to operate required tools and equipment
  • Ability to travel over uneven terrain
  • Ability to work safely and independently
  • Ability to travel to other locations
  • Applicable driver's license may be required when assigned a company vehicle
  • CDL is not required
