About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform analysis and programming activities to support and/or enhance digital solutions for the Youth sector within the Digital Solutions Directorate of VPTI, Santé Québec
  • Participate in specific projects, including technology upgrades and solution redesigns
  • Support organizations operating the Youth sector’s digital solutions
  • As part of the Agile methodology, participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology or another relevant field (e.g., software engineering), or have relevant experience, certification, or a combination of qualifications deemed equivalent to the academic requirements
  • A MIFI equivalency assessment is required for any diploma obtained outside Quebec
  • Training in web development or application migration
  • Experience with development and DevOps tools, including CI/CD and code management
  • Four (4) to five (5) years or more of experience in software development or application solution management
  • Experience with .NET and/or Java development
  • Experience with relational databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, and Access
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience maintaining, enhancing, and supporting applications
  • Experience managing and transforming data, including importing, validating, and migrating data
  • Experience in the healthcare and social services sector is an asset
  • Experience migrating applications, including Access-to-Web migration and modernization, is an asset
  • Experience in complex or multi-system environments is an asset
  • Experience with systems integration is an asset
  • Expertise in application development using .NET and/or Java
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling
  • Knowledge of modern architectures, APIs, and web services, including REST
  • Knowledge of cloud environments, such as Azure, and security principles
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
  • VBA (Access)
  • Data modeling, including conceptual data models (CDM), logical data models (LDM), and normalization
