Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced proficiency in spoken and written French
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • A MIFI equivalency assessment is required for any degree obtained outside Québec
  • Have completed at least three Microsoft Applied Skills assessments directly related to Fabric, or hold the Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification (DP-700)
  • Eight (8) years of experience in data engineering
  • More than five (5) years of experience in business intelligence, including three (3) years of data engineering experience within Québec’s healthcare network
  • Active participation in at least three (3) projects involving the development of analytics solutions integrating provincial clinical information systems and healthcare facilities
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Advanced knowledge of the Fabric platform, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Direct Lake, Pipelines, and Notebooks
  • Practical experience managing Fabric workspaces and Spark environments
  • Proficiency in Fabric development environments, including advanced use of Notebooks
  • In-depth knowledge of Power BI and the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio)
  • Excellent command of T-SQL, M, R, JSON, Python, DAX, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in data modeling techniques and model optimization in Fabric
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Québec’s healthcare network clinical and administrative systems (essential)
  • Good knowledge of YAML and configuration files for automated CI/CD deployments
  • In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Dataverse, NoSQL databases, Spark, ELT, ETL, APIs, and JSON
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time data processing
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Data Factory, and Azure Machine Learning
  • Extensive experience with SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and HL7/PHIRE data integration
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, cryptography, and access management standards and practices
  • Rigorous and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work as part of a team, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and provide guidance on technical best practices
  • Only candidates legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada will be considered
  • Asset: Microsoft Certified/Applied Skills certification: Azure Developer Associate (or equivalent)
