Key responsibilities & impact

Perform hydrocarbon fugitive emission and/or leak detection of facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry
Work with industry-leading technologies used to detect and measure methane gas emissions
Assist in coordinating and navigating to various facilities with maps and GPS
Help calibrate and maintain equipment
Use various detection and measurement technologies under the supervision of the Team Lead
Collect and record emission data
Prepare field reports as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in Oil and Gas industry (preference given to candidates with natural gas processing/transmission facility experience)
Effective computer skills; Excel and Microsoft Office are essential
Proficiency with Android OS
Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days only)
Valid driver's license
Ability to walk and/or stand while handling/carrying various technical equipment for extended periods of time
Comfortable occasionally working at heights in a safe manner
Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
Comfortable working outside in all-weather elements
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Willingness to travel
Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or applicable technical degree/diploma preferred but not required
Related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, instrumentation or stack emission testing, or a mechanical background preferred but not required
