About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage New Source Review (NSR), non-attainment NSR, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), and Title V permitting
  • Perform regulatory air dispersion modeling using US EPA-recommended models such as AERMOD
  • Calculate emissions and develop emissions inventories
  • Conduct Best Available Control Technology (BACT) assessments
  • Perform regulatory applicability analyses covering state, local, and federal regulations
  • Administer and manage a team of consultants
  • Perform quality control of personal work and managed projects
  • Communicate effectively with external and internal customers
  • Develop and maintain trusting professional relationships with clients
  • Promote integrated air consulting services to clients
  • Mentor and train team members
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs and support team efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. or above from an accredited college or university in engineering or a related scientific discipline
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of air quality consulting experience
  • Experience as a Project Manager is highly preferred, with emphasis on managing project timelines and budgets and ensuring successful project delivery
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and time/expense tracking software
  • Understanding of software and tools applicable to projects, including AERMOD, SCREEN3, and TRI-ME
  • Understanding of engineering concepts such as chemical processes and emissions control technologies
  • Advanced understanding of relevant regulations
  • Technical competencies to solve problems and scope new projects accurately and completely
  • Technical breadth to work with multiple industries and/or clients
  • Ability to mentor and train team members
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Professionalism to establish and maintain long-term working relationships
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with organizational skills and attention to detail
