About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Onterris Environmental Consulting & Engineering’s US East Regional team
  • Develop and deliver strategic growth initiatives and financial success for the US East environmental consulting business
  • Mentor senior office managers and manage regional P&L, resource planning, and budgeting
  • Drive regional sales revenue and profit goals
  • Identify strategic partnerships and potential acquisition companies and lead acquisition integration
  • Build a high-performing, client-focused business culture aligned with Onterris values and beliefs
  • Interact routinely with Onterris Executive Leadership
  • Collaborate across regional geographies, technical disciplines, commercial, market, client, and organizational teams
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on growth and continuous improvement
  • Provide direction across US East offices aligned with corporate vision and strategy
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and commercial teams on growth strategies and value propositions
  • Develop and execute strategic plans and meet EBITDA, revenue, utilization, and DSO targets
  • Use corporate financial reporting to improve profitability through operational efficiency, performance management, pricing, and cost control
  • Develop annual cost center budgets and conduct resource allocation studies
  • Forecast quarterly regional financial performance against budgets and KPIs and implement corrective action plans
  • Participate in Go/No Go opportunity and delegation of authority reviews
  • Promote Onterris expertise, capabilities, brand, and new services
  • Oversee safety, health, and environmental issues to ensure team safety and regulatory compliance
  • Identify talent, markets, services, and focused growth strategies
  • Develop and deploy policies and procedures to optimize and protect the business
  • Partner with Shared Services including Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Safety, and IT

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geology, Biological, Cultural or related Environmental Sciences required
  • 15+ years of experience in high-end environmental engineering or consulting, preferably in a high-growth environment
  • Experience leading larger, growing organizations ($+50M in revenue and double-digit revenue growth) across multiple geographies, with quantifiable business and leadership achievements
  • Strong financial management experience with P&L and balance sheet responsibility
  • Ability to identify risks and develop action plans to correct or improve operational elements
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex and multi-disciplined issues
  • Ability to operate strategically at a high level while remaining involved in day-to-day tactical operations
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with shared service areas including HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and IT
  • Outstanding communication skills across organizational levels
