About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and execute front-end, API, and integration test cases using AI-generated test cases with human review
- Perform risk-based test planning and estimation
- Identify critical scenarios, edge cases, negative tests, exploratory tests, and regression coverage across releases
- Ensure test coverage and quality standards for Commercial and FedRAMP customers
- Collaborate with product, development, and QA teams to resolve issues
- Own quality for assigned features from requirements through production readiness
- Develop test strategy, execute tests, automate testing, manage defects, and communicate release risks
- Support system integration testing and CI/CD workflows
- Identify automation opportunities and contribute to test automation frameworks
- Communicate progress and blockers proactively
- Participate in requirements and design discussions, review acceptance criteria, and identify testability gaps and risks
- Review other engineers’ test cases and automation
- Share best practices and mentor junior QA engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-10 years of experience in manual and automation testing
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software development lifecycle, and testing best practices
- Experience with test management tools like JIRA
- Proven ability in functional, regression, and integration testing
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
- Experience in automation frameworks or scripting
- Prior experience with FedRAMP or secure testing practices is a strong plus
- Exposure to FedRAMP environments or working on government projects
- Experience with MongoDB, AWS, and Elasticsearch is highly desirable
- Must work within the United States
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to work from the Austin office three days a week
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with a willingness to learn and adapt
