About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the product backlog end to end
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Keep backlog order and prioritization rationale transparent
- Talk to users and stakeholders to validate problems and solutions
- Make trade-off decisions based on value, risk, and effort
- Work daily with engineers and designers
- Accept completed work against clear criteria
- Ship small, frequent releases
- Shape product vision and roadmap with client product leadership
- Keep the team focused on outcomes
- Define outcome metrics such as adoption, task success, and satisfaction
- Use data to determine what to build next
- Participate in Scrum events and SAFe PI Planning where applicable
Requirements
What you’ll need- Shipped at least one product owned from idea to launch, with demonstrable evidence such as a live site, app store listing, or launch announcement
- Startup experience as a founder, founding team member, early product manager, or early product owner
- At least 5 years of product management or product ownership experience on software products
- Hands-on experience owning a backlog in Jira or a similar tool
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Comfort working directly with users, engineers, and executives
- US citizenship or green card holder status
- Must be located in the United States for the full engagement
