About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gain a thorough understanding of the functional context, including specifications, user stories, and business rules
- Collaborate with business and project management support teams to define the scope of testing
- Participate in risk analysis and assess the criticality of requirements
- Contribute to defining the functional and automated testing strategy
- Design test plans, test cases, and test data sets
- Identify automatable scenarios and validate their relevance
- Design the architecture of test automation frameworks
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts
- Apply and promote automation standards and best practices
- Contribute to the selection and enhancement of testing tools
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Execute manual and automated test campaigns
- Analyze results, determine compliance, and manage defects
- Track defect workflows through to closure
- Produce progress, coverage, and quality reports
- Maintain and enhance test repositories
- Establish quality monitoring indicators
- Contribute to the sharing of best practices and the development of the Testing practice
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in test design and automation
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright
- Strong scripting/development skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages
- Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools
- Experience working in Agile and CI/CD environments
- Good understanding of application architectures
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred
- ISTQB certification (Foundation or Advanced) preferred
- Rigorous and analytical, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to take a step back and proactively suggest improvements to testing practices
