About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the end-to-end technical customer journey from the first technical sales conversation through a live integration with automations running
- Run technical demos covering cross-system flows, integrations and the API
- Gather customer requirements, systems information and definitions of success
- Design solutions connecting &Open with customers' existing systems
- Design workarounds using &Open configuration, customer-tool setup or Zapier/Make
- Set up &Open integrations and products and configure related customer workflows such as HubSpot gift-trigger workflows
- Drive adoption by getting automations live and keeping them live
- Troubleshoot and debug integrations, automations and bespoke customer solutions
- Identify documentation and playbook gaps and create, delegate and review improvements
- Feed customer patterns and product gaps back to Product and Engineering
- Ship small, contained code changes with engineering review
- Use AI to improve reporting, research synthesis, prototyping and integration work
- Shadow demos and onboarding calls, collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Product and Engineering, and meet customers early
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-6 years in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, implementation or technical account management role at a B2B software company
- Integrations delivered end to end, with the ability to explain customer needs, solution design, failures, and adoption
- Comfort with APIs, webhooks and integrations between systems
- Ability to read API documentation, make requests, inspect payloads and troubleshoot failures
- Hands-on experience with a CRM or marketing platform such as HubSpot
- Experience with automation tools such as Zapier or Make
- Some ability to code, including reading code, writing scripts and landing small changes with an engineer's review
- Ability to run demos and requirements conversations with operations or RevOps teams
- Ability to explain technical constraints clearly
- Strong writing skills for playbooks and documentation
- Daily use of AI and ability to demonstrate prompts, workflows, agents or tools built to improve work
- Comfortable working hands-on in ambiguous startup environments
- Based in Dublin or, if remote, within a couple of hours of GMT
- Remote workers must be comfortable with very occasional travel for in-person collaboration or important company events
