About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure every applicant has the best possible experience by owning and elevating the end-to-end hiring journey
- Attract new talent through direct sourcing, talent pooling and relationship building
- Build and maintain Opencast’s talent network and diverse talent pipelines across the UK
- Support the end-to-end permanent recruitment process with Talent Engagement Partners and hiring managers
- Plan hiring activity in line with business demand and workforce plans
- Review applications, conduct interviews and manage the full candidate journey
- Ensure clear communication, timely feedback, accurate system records and proactive bottleneck removal
- Create job adverts and candidate content with the Marketing team
- Represent Opencast at events, meet-ups and open days
- Stay up to date with recruitment legislation
- Support new starters through onboarding
- Follow Opencast’s quality, environmental and information security policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or people operations, ideally within technology or high-growth organisations
- Confidence using applicant tracking systems and sourcing platforms
- Ability to build, nurture and maintain diverse talent pipelines
- Clear, thoughtful communication and ability to build lasting candidate relationships
- Understanding of competency-based interviewing, fair hiring practices and recruitment compliance
- Ability to use recruitment data and metrics to improve engagement, time to hire and quality of hire
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities effectively
- Collaborative and resilient team player
- Ability to handle sensitive information and challenging conversations with empathy
- Ability to travel when needed to support business activities and team collaboration
