About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and elevate the end-to-end hiring journey for Opencast partners and contractor associates
  • Attract new talent through direct sourcing, talent pooling and relationship building
  • Develop diverse talent pipelines and strong talent networks across the UK
  • Translate workforce plans into practical hiring strategies aligned with business needs
  • Support contractors throughout recruitment, onboarding and their journey with Opencast
  • Build and maintain Opencast’s contingent workforce network
  • Support end-to-end contingent recruitment and plan hiring activity according to client demand and workforce plans
  • Apply IR35 knowledge to carry out determinations and manage contractual arrangements
  • Review applications, support early-stage interviews and manage the contingent candidate journey
  • Ensure clear communication, timely feedback, accurate system records and timesheet management
  • Create job adverts and candidate content with the Marketing team
  • Build and manage relationships with recruitment agencies and partners
  • Attend events, network and represent Opencast at meet-ups and open days
  • Stay current with recruitment legislation
  • Follow Opencast’s quality, environmental and information security policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or people operations, ideally within technology or high-growth organisations
  • Confidence using applicant tracking systems and sourcing platforms
  • Ability to build, nurture and maintain diverse talent pipelines
  • Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with candidates
  • Understanding of competency-based interviewing, fair hiring practices and recruitment compliance
  • Ability to use recruitment data and metrics to improve engagement, time to hire and quality of hire
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities effectively
  • Ability to collaborate with hiring managers and wider teams
  • Open mindset toward feedback and continuous learning
  • Knowledge of IR35
  • Ability to travel when needed to support business activities and team collaboration
