About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry user stories from refinement through to production
- Build AWS cloud-native, event-driven serverless application workflows using Lambda and Step Functions
- Integrate commercial off-the-shelf products with internally developed system frameworks
- Develop internal or external API interconnections for modern system architectures
- Build data and document pipelines that automate manual, paper-heavy processes
- Build modern cloud-native systems with streamlined, automated operation
- Own tested code through production, including finding and fixing defects
- Build checks, validations, and workflows that replace manual processes
- Release services through deployment pipelines
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Amazon Q Developer across the lifecycle
- Help develop new firm capabilities, tools, and lines of business
- Communicate work clearly to stakeholders and adapt across roles and clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of software development experience
- Working-level command of Python
- Experience with modern languages and frameworks, and with version control
- Familiarity with cloud development on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) concepts
- Ability to turn a defined specification into working, tested code and own it through to production
- U.S. citizenship for this initial engagement
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination
- Bachelor's degree
- Basic proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Preferred: Amazon Web Services exposure or certification
- Preferred: Federal information technology experience
- Preferred: Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling
