About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain pipelines for routine builds, tests, and deployments
- Add automated security testing, including SAST, DAST, and software composition analysis, to delivery pipelines
- Set up monitoring and logging
- Map controls to NIST SP 800-53
- Investigate and fix security and reliability findings
- Explain code changes and rationale through code review
- Automate manual team processes
- Help develop the firm's capabilities, tools, and lines of business
- Work alongside engineers, developers, data scientists, architects, and strategists across assignments and clients
- Support secure delivery pipelines that move federal systems into production
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years of software development, platform, or operations engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Scripting ability (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Working knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) concepts, with hands-on experience in at least one pipeline tool
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Docker, and containerization
- Basic understanding of container orchestration concepts
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Foundational experience with Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts, application programming interfaces, load balancing, and web applications
- Understanding of cloud security principles and secure software delivery practices
- Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment-related issues
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot for code generation and review
- Proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Initial engagement requires United States citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust determination
- Preferred: exposure to FISMA compliance, NIST SP 800-53 controls, or ATO processes
- Preferred: vulnerability scanning or security tooling experience, such as SAST, DAST, or policy-as-code
- Preferred: hands-on delivery of production workloads on AWS or an AWS certification
- Preferred: federal information technology experience
- Ability to discuss a difficult problem, decisions made, outcomes, and lessons learned
