About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain secure delivery pipelines for routine builds, tests, and deployments
- Add automated security testing, including SAST, DAST, and software composition analysis
- Set up monitoring and logging
- Map controls to NIST SP 800-53
- Investigate and fix security and reliability findings
- Participate in code reviews and explain technical changes
- Automate manual team processes
- Contribute to developing the firm's security-focused engineering practice
- Work alongside engineers and cross-functional teams on federal systems
- Use AI-assisted tools to implement, test, and improve owned components while reviewing and testing outputs
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years of software development, platform, or operations engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and hands-on experience with at least one pipeline tool
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and containerization
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code using CloudFormation or Terraform
- Basic proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Initial engagement requires United States citizenship
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination
- Preferred: Exposure to FISMA compliance, NIST SP 800-53 controls, or ATO processes
- Preferred: Vulnerability scanning or security tooling experience, including SAST, DAST, or policy-as-code
- Preferred: Hands-on delivery of production workloads on AWS or an AWS certification
- Preferred: Federal information technology experience
- Preferred: Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling
