About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Consult with product owners, customers, key stakeholders, and end users to elicit and specify requirements
- Develop requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Facilitate product backlog refinement and prioritization
- Assist product owners in defining product scope, vision, and roadmap
- Conduct business process analysis, workflow analysis, and business process reengineering
- Provide system analysis and subject-matter expertise on issues and bugs
- Produce user stories and acceptance criteria that carry business intent through to working software
- Perform gap analyses and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) studies
- Create business process models, wireframes, and storyboards
- Work with product owners, program managers, developers, testers, and end users on application designs
- Lead and support product demonstrations
- Help build new capabilities, tools, and lines of business
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of business analysis experience on information technology (IT) programs
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong requirements elicitation, modeling, and documentation skills
- Experience with Agile delivery and backlog management
- Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders
- Proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Federal information technology experience (Preferred)
- Financial-regulatory domain experience (Preferred)
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile Analysis certification (Preferred)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted analysis tooling (Preferred)
- United States citizenship
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination
- Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with commuting cadence varying by assignment
