About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Consult with product owners, customers, key stakeholders, and end users to elicit and specify requirements
  • Develop requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate product backlog refinement and prioritization
  • Plan and run quality assurance validation
  • Write test cases from acceptance criteria
  • Execute functional, regression, and user acceptance tests
  • Confirm releases meet requirements before shipping
  • Log, track, and retest defects with developers until resolved
  • Assist product owners in defining product scope, vision, and roadmap
  • Conduct business process analysis, workflow analysis, and business process reengineering
  • Provide system analysis and subject-matter expertise on issues and bugs
  • Produce gap analyses, Analysis of Alternatives studies, business process models, wireframes, and storyboards
  • Work with product owners, program managers, developers, testers, and end users on application designs
  • Lead and support product demonstrations
  • Help develop new capabilities, tools, and lines of business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of business analysis experience on information technology (IT) programs
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong requirements elicitation, modeling, and documentation skills
  • Experience with Agile delivery and backlog management
  • Experience planning and executing quality assurance validation, including test-case design, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing, and defect tracking
  • Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders
  • Proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Federal information technology experience preferred
  • Financial-regulatory domain experience preferred
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Analysis, or International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) certification preferred
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analysis tooling preferred
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or Cucumber preferred
  • Familiarity with test management and defect-tracking tools, such as Jira preferred
  • United States citizenship required for the initial engagement
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination
