About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and win net-new advertisers and commercial opportunities, focusing on new-business acquisition
- Build and manage a sales pipeline from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close
- Develop senior relationships with direct advertisers, agencies and ecosystem partners
- Understand advertisers’ growth objectives and position Opera’s performance advertising capabilities against measurable commercial outcomes
- Collaborate with Client Solutions, Ad Operations, Product and other teams to develop opportunities
- Transition new clients into long-term partnerships
- Participate in Opera’s ongoing talent pipeline for anticipated future Performance Advertising hiring needs in Barcelona
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in new-business sales or business development within digital advertising, AdTech, performance marketing or a closely related environment
- Demonstrated track record of prospecting, developing and closing net-new business
- Strong understanding of performance advertising and the commercial priorities of performance-driven advertisers
- Established relationships across advertisers, agencies or the broader digital advertising ecosystem are highly valued
- Entrepreneurial and results-oriented approach
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience or networks across mobile apps, e-commerce, iGaming, FinTech, travel and other digital-first industries are particularly relevant
