About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain the Django backend powering the consumer dashboard and B2B platform
  • Develop API features for the consumer dashboard and customer reporting
  • Improve performance and reliability in Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines
  • Integrate third-party services including Stripe and WorkOS SSO
  • Perform code reviews and participate in reviews from other senior backend engineers
  • Own features end to end, including post-production reliability
  • Work directly with founders on product and technical direction
  • Pick up real production work in the first week

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years building production web applications
  • 3+ years with Python and Django
  • Working knowledge of data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system design
  • Strong written communication
  • Comfortable working asynchronously across time zones
  • Self-direction and follow-through
  • Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code is a plus
  • Latin America-based
  • Working hours preferably overlap with US Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones
