About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work directly with the founders on product and technical direction
Build and maintain the Python/Django backend powering the consumer dashboard and B2B platform
Develop new features for APIs supporting the consumer dashboard and customer reporting
Improve performance and reliability in Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines
Integrate third-party services such as Stripe and WorkOS SSO
Own features from development through production follow-up
Perform code reviews and participate in a small backend team
Begin real production work in the first week

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years building production web applications
6+ years with Python and Django
Working knowledge of CS fundamentals: data structures, concurrency, SQL, system design
Strong written communication; comfortable working async across time zones
Self-direction and follow-through
Strong plus: DRF and/or django-ninja
Strong plus: Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis in production
Strong plus: Postgres tuning and query analysis
Strong plus: Kubernetes and AWS
Strong plus: Stripe, identity providers, or other third-party API integrations
Strong plus: HTMX, React, or both
Strong plus: Background in consumer privacy or adjacent industries
Experience getting value from AI coding assistants such as Claude Code is a plus
Candidates must be based in Latin America
Ability to work hours overlapping US Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones is strongly preferred
