About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assume overall responsibility for the company
Take full responsibility for the P&L and achieve growth and profitability targets
Work closely with the existing team to improve and further develop the software platform based on customer feedback and evolving market requirements
Drive the implementation of AI capabilities and identify practical use cases to enhance the platform, customer experience, and efficiency
Translate customer needs and market insights into clear product priorities and development initiatives
Lead, motivate, and develop a small, highly specialized team
Work closely with the private equity shareholder and the Board on implementing the Value Creation Plan
Prepare the company for a potential exit
Work with the founder and current CEO during an approximately 6- to 9-month transition period
Assume CEO responsibilities as part of a planned leadership succession

Requirements

What you’ll need

Leadership experience in a B2B software company
Previous P&L responsibility, ideally as a Country Manager, Managing Director, General Manager, CEO, or in a comparable leadership role
Deep understanding of software products and business models
Interest in AI and its practical application in software products and business processes
Customer-focused mindset and experience translating customer feedback into product improvements
Ability to combine strategic thinking with a highly hands-on and pragmatic approach
Fluency in German and good English skills are essential
Strong communication skills when dealing with customers, employees, shareholders, and other stakeholders
Willingness to travel
