About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and prepare period-end analyses
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close through journal entries and account reconciliations
- Own accounting for capitalized software under ASC 350-40, intercompany transfer pricing, VAT reconciliations, and accruals
- Assist with preparation of financial statements for internal and external parties
- Assist with month-end flux analysis and explain account activity
- Ensure accounting policies and principles comply with US GAAP
- Coordinate with other departments to obtain transaction information, research reconciling items, and resolve issues
- Provide backup support to reporting, FP&A, and operations
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and management inquiries
- Participate in developing and implementing accounting procedures and systems
- Maintain internal controls and accounting processes
- Assist external auditors with the annual audit
- Mentor and review junior staff’s work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business/Finance with Accounting emphasis
- Proficient in US GAAP and accrual basis accounting
- 2–4 years total Accounting experience
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, including inter-company and international transactions
- Software (SaaS) experience is preferred
- Experience with a large ERP system; NetSuite is a plus
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to effectively complete tasks
- Strong aptitude for business software applications
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Natural inclination to problem solve and analyze financial information
- Ability to manage time effectively, re-prioritize workload, achieve accurate results, and meet deadlines
- Background check required
- US-based and fully authorized to work without sponsorship
