About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead infrastructure resiliency efforts, including recovery mechanisms, tenant isolation, and load spike handling
- Improve observability and operability of systems
- Build performance-critical, user-facing infrastructure such as real-time event processing
- Plan scaling initiatives to handle large customer growth
- Partner with other engineering teams to build reliable product features
- Learn from peers and share expertise
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- 4+ years of experience in the infrastructure domain
- Deep understanding of edge cases, failure modes, and bottlenecks
- Ability to investigate and debug tricky errors and performance issues
- Experience building scalable infrastructure for a high-growth product
- Ability to mentor fellow engineers on observability, rollout strategies, and risk mitigation
- Specific experience with Orb’s listed tech stack is not required
