About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop process engineering deliverables including Heat and Material Balances, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment lists, and preliminary equipment datasheets
- Perform hydraulic calculations
- Prepare, review, and check engineering calculations, designs, drawings, and project documents
- Provide customer support as a technical liaison
- Support business development for new and expanded client opportunities
- Expand process safety functions offered to clients
- Supervise and review engineering proposals, scopes of work, project schedules, and cost estimates
- Develop and implement engineering policies, standards, and procedures
- Assess discipline industry codes and standards and maintain or upgrade technical standards and specifications
- Promote the company safety culture through safety engagements and compliance audits, including employee training and site visit checklists
- Report to the Process Engineering Design Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 10 years of process design experience
- Well-rounded expertise in heavy industrial engineering projects such as chemicals, downstream / midstream O&G and power generation
- Familiarity with process simulation software and engineering electronic tools
- Thorough understanding and aptitude in current computer software, including general MS Office products and design & business enterprise software
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to excel in a team environment
- Occasional domestic travel required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations
- Subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment
