About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide analytical and technical support for purchasing, operating, maintaining, and managing information technology assets
- Provide expertise in identifying, modifying, and enhancing technical standards and processes
- Provide technical consultation and training to users
- Provide technical assistance and coordination to IS support staff
- Lead projects as assigned
- Participate in strategic planning
- Coordinate, communicate, and validate IT asset management purchases and inventory within the ODHS/OHA information technology structure
- Track and produce IT asset management metrics for ODHS and OHA
- Receive broad product or general project objectives and determine methods and resources to accomplish work goals
- Collaborate with the OIS Business Administration section and internal stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Four (4) years of information systems experience in software procurement support for a complex IT system infrastructure, spanning multiple environments and agencies; OR
- An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field, AND two (2) years of information systems experience in IT asset management, software licensing, or software procurement in a government setting; OR
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above
- Strong customer service orientation and responsiveness to customer requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of IT hardware and software
- Solid problem solving and consultative skills
- Presentation, organization, multitasking, and time management skills
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment
- Professional experience with software licensing for a large government organization
- Criminal records check meeting OHA criteria at the time of hire and throughout employment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; agency does not offer visa sponsorship
