About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the agency’s energy incentive and grant programs
  • Conduct research and technical reviews
  • Analyze applications and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutes, administrative rules, and program objectives
  • Promote equitable and effective distribution of state energy resources
  • Work with homeowners, renters, businesses, organizations, nonprofits, Tribes, schools, utilities, and public bodies through programs providing financing and incentives for energy projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to Energy Incentive programs, and two years’ experience coordinating or administering a program
  • OR any combination of experience or education equivalent to five (5) years of experience supporting the classification's knowledge and skill requirements
  • Experience evaluating program guidelines and using analytical and sound decision-making skills to assess compliance and ensure consistency in applying program rules
  • Experience conducting outreach and maintaining relationships with the public, stakeholders, diverse community/stakeholder groups, other agencies, and Tribal and local governments
  • Experience maintaining databases, capturing and updating data, analyzing data, generating reports, and reporting to stakeholders
  • Experience working in or with governmental agencies
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the state as needed
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems or energy resilience preferred but not required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, currently and in the future
  • Employment contingent upon passing a criminal background check
