About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as an Innovator Agent assigned to Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) regions
  • Understand regional health needs, health-resource strengths and gaps, and communicate them to OHA
  • Support statewide and local policy and legislation development, systems change, and coordination
  • Research and support adoption of health care transformation best practices and strategies

  • Connect OHA with local community strengths, needs, and gaps
  • Link CCO, OHA, and community initiatives

  • Share innovations and successful practices with CCOs, OHA, and national audiences
  • Translate statewide health-equity priorities into local adaptation and implementation
  • Engage communities facing health inequalities in CCO and community health work
  • Conduct meetings, outreach, and stakeholder engagement across assigned regions
  • Travel extensively through the assigned Central Willamette Valley and Central Oregon Coast regions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills, and five years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work
  • OR any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification
  • Application must include a resume
  • Answer all supplemental questions completely and accurately
  • Employment contingent upon a criminal records check meeting OHA criteria
  • Must complete I-9 documentation and confirm authorization to work in the United States within three days of hire
  • Position does not provide visa sponsorship
  • Must be able to work independently across multiple communities and organizations, manage a regional workload, and travel weekly throughout the Central Willamette Valley and Central Oregon Coast
  • Spanish-English bilingual communication is a desired attribute, including speaking, reading, and writing
  • Health equity experience is desired
  • Medicaid or health care system knowledge is desired
  • Community and stakeholder engagement experience is desired
  • Policy analysis and development experience is desired
  • Cross-system collaboration experience is desired
  • Strategic problem-solving ability is desired
