About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support transportation programs under the Oregon Health Plan, including emergency and non-emergency transportation
  • Work with transportation program leads and leadership to update administrative rules, fee schedules, guidance documents, and the state claims processing system
  • Consult with partners, community members, and Tribes regarding OHP transportation coverage
  • Monitor program expenditures and outcomes
  • Evaluate program impacts
  • Provide compliance feedback to transportation providers and contractors
  • Support development and implementation of policies and programs advancing health equity
  • Coordinate meetings and track projects
  • Prepare planning tools, data, and documentation for collaborative communication and decision-making
  • Provide technical assistance within established regulatory or programmatic frameworks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or any degree demonstrating capacity for the knowledge and skills; OR any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience
  • Experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements
  • Knowledge of health services delivery systems, particularly Oregon Health Plan/Medicaid administration in Oregon
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes; Oregon Administrative Rules, Oregon Revised Statutes, and federal and state Medicaid laws and regulations valued
  • Ability to explain agency procedures and provide accurate technical assistance regarding forms, policies, and administrative processes
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and continuous process improvement procedures
  • Experience supporting compliance monitoring and audit preparation or documentation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Smartsheet
  • Employment contingent upon criminal records check and driving records check meeting OHA criteria
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; position does not provide visa sponsorship
