About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • One year of safety experience with a Federal or State occupational safety and health organization performing duties comparable to an Oregon OSHA Occupational Safety Specialist 2 level; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial safety or occupational safety and health and two years of professional-level occupational safety and health program experience; OR
  • Associate degree in industrial safety or occupational safety and health and four years of industrial safety program experience, including at least two years of professional-level occupational safety and health program experience; OR
  • Six years of industrial safety program experience, including at least two years of professional-level occupational safety and health program experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • In-depth safety and health analysis skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Successful completion of a fingerprint background check for job-related convictions
  • Authorization to work in the United States; DCBS does not offer visa sponsorship
