About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead full-lifecycle IT project management from initiation through closeout, including charters, schedules, risk registers, and status reporting
  • Maintain and analyze the Information Services project portfolio
  • Build dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level performance reporting
  • Administer PMO governance processes, including project intake and governance reviews
  • Prepare materials for leadership and oversight committees
  • Improve PMO methodologies, templates, and business processes through process mapping and stakeholder facilitation
  • Serve as a liaison across business units, Information Services teams, and vendors
  • Coordinate technology implementations and resolve project issues
  • Research project management best practices and statewide IT standards
  • Support technology projects that advance youth safety and services statewide

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work in information technology project management, project portfolio administration, business process analysis, or IT governance
  • OR any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience in information technology project management, project portfolio administration, business process analysis, or IT governance
  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Skill in process mapping, business process analysis, and workflow optimization
  • Strong writing and documentation skills for policy, procedure, and technical content
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and facilitate meetings
  • Knowledge of project management principles and IT operational concepts
  • Experience with SharePoint, MS Project, Power BI, or similar tools preferred
  • Prior experience on public sector projects preferred
  • Ability to report to the office location as necessary for approved hybrid work
  • Broadband internet connection meeting or exceeding minimum acceptable requirements for approved remote work
  • Private workspace for approved remote work
  • Maintain good standing with no performance or attendance issues
