About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide operational oversight and coordination for the Youth Transitions program
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Serve as the team’s rule, policy, and procedure lead
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance systems and electronic resources
  • Handle complex contract administration to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Provide technical consultation and training to agency staff and other stakeholders
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to design and implement operational improvements
  • Support program objectives and goals
  • Interpret, explain, and apply Child Welfare policies and procedures
  • Create accessible policy, procedure, training, presentation, flyer, guide, and email resources
  • Facilitate and lead group discussions, meetings, and workgroups
  • Provide customer service to diverse internal and external customers
  • Travel statewide occasionally, including overnight travel
  • Attend in-person work at the Salem office and local ODHS offices when required by training, business, or operational needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or any degree demonstrating capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work
  • OR any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification
  • Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying complex Child Welfare policies and procedures
  • Experience creating accessible resources such as policies, procedures, training materials, presentations, flyers, guides, and emails
  • Experience facilitating and leading group discussions, meetings, and workgroups
  • Understanding of legal and relational permanency for transition-aged youth experiencing foster care
  • Experience providing strong engagement and timely customer service in a demanding, fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Cover letter required
  • Valid driver's license or other acceptable method of transportation for routine travel
  • Authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered
  • Successful criminal history and background check
