About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and handle day-to-day activities for HIV/STI programs in Oregon and SW Washington
  • Work with community leaders to build program capacity and expand access to HIV/STI care for people using substances
  • Provide subject matter expertise on whole-person health and integration of HIV prevention and treatment into practice settings
  • Support health system transformation using implementation science, technical expertise, and promising practices
  • Build workforce pipelines for people with lived experience entering the healthcare field
  • Monitor literature and promising healthcare practices related to data collection and use data to improve outcomes
  • Identify strategic partnerships to improve efficiency and streamline healthcare access
  • Build and maintain collaborating-partner relationships and identify training opportunities
  • Coordinate onsite training activities and design and present responsive curricula
  • Market and facilitate trainings, communities of practice, webinars, conferences, and workshops
  • Provide capacity-building assistance around access and linkage to care across the HIV Care Continuum
  • Integrate HIV-related concepts into administrative rules addressing HIV-related stigma
  • Document and report training outcomes in compliance with funder requirements
  • Assist with program evaluation, quality improvement, data entry, and reporting on deliverables
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, timesheets, and internal communications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Generally requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or 3–5 years of experience or equivalent education
  • Knowledge/understanding of HIV/AIDS educational programs and priorities, including early intervention activities and disease investigation
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask under demanding timeframes
  • Sound judgment when responding to internal and external issues and concerns
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and manage concurrent projects under deadlines
  • Ability to analyze information and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel to support training and capacity-building assistance
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse personalities and organizations
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional team environment
  • Ability to work respectfully with people whose identities and lived experiences differ from one’s own
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required
