About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Detect, quantify, and prevent revenue leakage throughout the full distributed generation (DG) cycle—from generation and quota allocation to credits, billing, and collections—through data analysis, systematic reconciliations, and detection models.
- Build and execute automated reconciliations across generation, energy injection, quota allocation, issued invoices, utility data, and collections databases.
- Develop anomaly-detection rules and queries for unissued invoices, incorrect credit compensation, tariff discrepancies, unauthorized discounts, active customers without billing, and cycle disruptions.
- Financially quantify each type of revenue loss, prioritize issues based on materiality and recurrence, and support findings with quantitative evidence.
- Trace issues to their root cause and monitor corrective actions through the elimination of recurring problems.
- Maintain revenue leakage dashboards and KPIs, including historical trends, recovered revenue, and losses avoided.
- Structure data and detection logic reproducibly, transitioning ad hoc analyses into continuous monitoring.
- Translate findings into concise reports for leadership, including the financial impact in Brazilian reais (R$) and recommended actions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in data analysis applied to revenue, billing, auditing, or revenue assurance, preferably in energy, utilities, telecommunications, or financial services.
- Advanced SQL (required), including large-volume data manipulation, complex joins, and window functions.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and Power BI (or equivalent) for modeling and visualization.
- Python (pandas) for data processing, integration, and analytical workflow automation.
