About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Research and design software systems supporting production, quality and shipping activities
Troubleshoot, maintain and enhance MIS applications
Perform software development duties
Schedule and attend meetings with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and Shipping users to develop software requirements
Provide training and support for custom applications to manufacturing personnel
Develop and maintain computer applications using Oracle Forms/Reports, Oracle PL/SQL, and SQL
Develop and deploy DSI mobile applications to barcode and RFID scanners, tablets, and mobile computers
Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum 1-2 years of experience designing, developing and deploying applications within a Oracle Developer Suite 11g environment
Experience with data modeling, PL/QL, Java Script and general web development is required
Oracle APEX, JSON/ RESTful Web Services and Linux/UNIX scripting development experience
Experience with relational databases; Oracle 12C preferred
Experience in program design including object oriented design
Manufacturing experience
Manufacturing experience in steel industry, preferred
