Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as finance partner to the President of Wealth Management and Wealth leadership team
  • Surface risks, opportunities, and solutions ahead of the business
  • Turn ambiguous questions into actionable analysis and recommendations
  • Shape Wealth's financial direction by analyzing net flows, retention, product mix, and rate trends
  • Own the financial understanding of Wealth sales compensation, including forecasting compensation expense and interpreting incentive economics
  • Advise on compensation plan design and changes through a financial lens
  • Partner with Sales Compensation and Compensation Operations to align the Finance compensation narrative with business numbers
  • Lead financial evaluation of strategic deals, partnership restructures, and retention plays
  • Define methodologies and guardrails for evaluating non-standard pricing and contract terms
  • Partner with Sales, Legal, and Accounting to identify revenue-eroding business terms
  • Quantify in-year and run-rate impacts of pricing and contractual changes
  • Track outcomes against original business cases
  • Own Wealth forecasting cadence and long-range model using AUM, net flows, rate, and product-mix drivers
  • Define analytical standards for budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning
  • Lead monthly business reviews of Wealth results and explain drivers and variances
  • Own the integrity and narrative of Wealth financials for board packets, executive dashboards, town halls, and investor-facing materials
  • Reconcile reporting, dashboards, and BI and resolve discrepancies before executive review
  • Lead and develop a focused FP&A team of onshore and offshore analysts
  • Delegate recurring production so senior time is focused on analysis and partnership
  • Set standards, coach for judgment and business acumen, and build succession depth
  • Reinforce Orion's values and build an inclusive, high-trust team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 10+ years of corporate or FP&A experience
  • Experience partnering directly with senior business leaders
  • Track record as a proactive business partner on complex, ambiguous problems
  • Strong command of deal, pricing, revenue, and incentive economics in a subscription, asset-based, or financial-services model
  • Experience in wealth management or wealth services
  • Solid grasp of asset flows, including inflows, outflows, and net flows, and how they drive revenue
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Ability to build detailed financial models from scratch and maintain complex KPI trackers
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required
  • Experience at a high-growth, PE-backed, or FinTech company preferred
  • Familiarity with the practical application of AI in finance preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning preferred
  • Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI and data analytics tools preferred
