About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide thought leadership and analysis of key internal and external business needs
Conduct financial modeling, profitability analysis, cost-reduction opportunity reviews, and return-on-investment analysis
Monitor business issues and determine impacts on the bottom line
Analyze organizational performance metrics to identify emerging issues and opportunities
Consult with senior management and provide financial information and recommendations for financial stability and profitability
Oversee strategic initiatives and lead organizational change projects
Analyze proposed new programs, potential acquisitions/dispositions, capital budgeting, and competitive analysis
Research industry trends and competitors
Assist in preparing quarterly Board, lender, and internal management reporting packages, including analytical review and graphs
Assess organizational competitive advantages and weaknesses and identify opportunities and threats
Work with other departments to develop systematic data-collection methods for monitoring business activity

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong presentation, influencing, and communication skills, both face-to-face and remote (net conferencing)
Advanced Excel proficiency; knowledge of macros, pivot tables, and data mining (SQL)
Experience with business intelligence concepts and software highly desirable
Ability to perform well in challenging, complex environments and work under pressure
Ability to prioritize within tight deadlines
Strong problem-solving ability, generating practical solutions to business issues
Ability to adjust quickly to changes in organizational structure and business processes
Undergraduate degree or relevant work experience in a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst
Ability to own and manage stakeholder relationships and work effectively with people at all organizational levels
