About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide outstanding service to internal and external clients
  • Aid in the effective management of the complex insurance portfolio
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on insurance compliance review processes and insurance market trends
  • Provide management, leadership, and direction to insurance analysts
  • Maintain a portfolio of loans
  • Complete and oversee insurance compliance reviews for collateral in the servicing portfolio
  • Review ACORD forms, insurance policies, third-party reports, annual premium documentation, and insurance waiver risk analyses
  • Utilize the Servicing System and other software applications to facilitate insurance reviews and document annual compliance review status
  • Maintain knowledge of lender insurance requirements, including Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA, and other assigned lenders
  • Ensure insurance files include accurate loan requirements, third-party report confirmation, flood determination, and other required confirmations
  • Review borrower and insurance agent policy documentation for compliance with loan documents and lender requirements
  • Request additional information and corrective measures from internal and external parties
  • Remediate non-compliant insurance through proactive communication with borrowers and insurance agents
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries and coordinate notifications, escalations, and communications with management
  • Monitor reports and deadlines and communicate portfolio status to managers or team leads
  • Assist, train, develop, quality check, and provide feedback to junior team members
  • Assist with department or lender audit data samples
  • Work professionally and harmoniously with team and coworkers
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years of experience in insurance selling, underwriting, claims, or CRE insurance
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate mortgage industry or commercial insurance compliance processing
  • Ability to educate others and translate insurance concepts into clear actionable information/instruction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems or software
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments and meet critical and established deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently and as part of a high-performance team
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions
  • Ability to adjust priorities in a changing environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Travel requirements: 10%
