About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all aspects of engineering, construction, and procurement projects
- Manage in-house and external engineering, procurement, installation, and testing through turnover to aftersales/Operations
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Manage supply and installation contracts
- Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate projects with stakeholders within and outside the company
- Manage project execution, including risk mitigation, safety protocols, and quality assurance
- Manage commercial aspects of supply and EPC projects
- Direct the project team as needed
- Sign and approve purchase orders, invoices, change orders, and bank transfers
- Negotiate contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have at least 5 years in the construction industry and 2 years in a similar position
- BS degree required in a technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to assess situations and choose the best alternative, including initiating alternatives
- Ability to directly manage personnel and create long-term professional relationships with suppliers and contractors
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to understand and communicate information safely and efficiently
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT auto insurance carrier
- Ability to use and acquire knowledge of computer software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and use of the Internet
- Ability and willingness to travel and relocate if required
- Must be able to operate a vehicle safely
- Ability to lift 20 lbs. periodically
- Ability to navigate and work in remote field locations and outdoors in difficult weather conditions
- Ability to walk, hike, and work on steep, rough terrain for extended periods
- Ability to safely operate 4WD light vehicles on highways and off-road
- Must be able to frequently climb ladders and work from elevated platforms, ladders, and walkways
