About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, mentor, and grow engineering managers, technical leads, and Salesforce developers
  • Own the technical strategy, architecture, and long-term roadmap for the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Oversee custom development, integrations, and third-party managed packages
  • Partner with Product Management to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions
  • Drive code quality standards, CI/CD practices, automated testing, release management, and DevOps maturity
  • Oversee Salesforce system performance, scalability, reliability, org limits, technical debt, and platform health
  • Establish secure development practices aligned with information security, data privacy, and financial services regulations
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for critical incidents, complex integrations, and high-risk releases
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture on integration with the broader technology ecosystem
  • Manage Salesforce implementation partner and consulting relationships
  • Champion Agile practices, including sprint planning, technical design reviews, and retrospectives
  • Own engineering capacity planning, staffing, and budget management
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required; significant, directly relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years building and architecting solutions on the Salesforce platform
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering managers, technical leads, or senior developers
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce APIs, and integration patterns
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations, migrations, or major platform upgrades
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and release management
  • Experience partnering with Product, Architecture, Security, and Compliance teams in a regulated industry
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical strategy and risk to senior executives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Salesforce certifications are preferred
  • Prior experience in wealth management, broker-dealer, RIA, or asset management environments is preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud implementations at scale is preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling such as Copado, Gearset, or Salesforce DX is preferred
