About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage account relationships with Highland’s National Account partners
  • Lead top-down projects and initiatives with Sales Management, Operations, Commissions, and IT teams
  • Own business analytics for the distribution channel
  • Serve as primary day-to-day contact and relationship manager for Strategic Account corporate customers
  • Support the Highland sales team on dedicated account matters
  • Drive proactive top-down business development initiatives with account heads and Sales Management
  • Partner with Sales Management on Sales VP engagement, account lead initiatives, carrier partnership initiatives, and VP territory analysis and reassignments
  • Perform business development with Account COIs alongside the Sales Team
  • Lead account-specific initiatives, including Internal VP Huddle Calls, targeted marketing campaigns, and in-market meetings
  • Identify growth opportunities and strategize on additional product lines, digital resources, and marketing capabilities
  • Own Sales VP territory and account assignments
  • Create and maintain Account Partnership Business Plans
  • Onboard new Sales VPs on account landscape, suitability, and compliance rules using the Account Playbook
  • Provide reporting and support during monthly management calls, including dashboard analytics, VP activity synopsis, and field conflict resolution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, finance or related field
  • Previous experience in insurance relationship management, banking or general agency brokerage is highly desirable
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Adept in technical writing and quality assurance
  • Advanced knowledge of standard MS Office suite
  • Ability to quickly learn new software platforms
  • Ability to understand HCB product carrier and broker dealer customer products and terminology
  • Must understand and articulate insurance compensation arrangements
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common journals, financial reports and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from producers, carriers, and other staff members
  • Ability to effectively present information to producers, carriers, and management representatives
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret extensive variety of instructions in verbal or diagram form
  • Effective interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as a team player without close supervision and demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
