About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Establish and drive enterprise and solution architecture strategies aligned with business objectives
Advise across strategic initiatives and promote reusability, scalability, and innovation
Partner with business, product, and engineering leaders across the organization
Chair the Architecture Review Board
Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, blueprints, and reference models
Lead the Architecture Review Board and enforce architectural governance
Develop strategic roadmaps aligned with business capabilities and technology evolution
Evaluate new technologies and drive enterprise-wide innovation
Provide hands-on architecture leadership for complex, cross-functional projects
Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solution patterns
Guide solution design across cloud, data, integration, and security
Partner with engineering teams to align solutions with architectural direction
Lead a small team of enterprise and solution architects
Promote shared accountability, learning, and innovation
Collaborate with delivery, infrastructure, and security teams
Influence senior stakeholders and promote architectural best practices
Promote DevOps practices, architectural automation, and CI/CD enablement
Establish frameworks for architectural reviews and technology assessments
Drive reuse of services and APIs to improve time-to-market and reduce duplication
Report directly to the SVP, Head of Engineering and Architecture

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field
12+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture
At least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity
Proven experience in enterprise and solution architecture across cloud, integration, data, and security domains
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
Experience architecting large-scale digital applications and enterprise platforms
Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development lifecycles
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience influencing executive stakeholders
Fluent in Agile methodologies and enterprise delivery models; Scaled Agile preferred
Experience using ADO, JIRA, and architecture modeling tools
Effective at managing distributed teams and vendors
Experience working in the financial services industry, especially in broker-dealer operations, is a plus
