About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Support preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, government contracting requirements, FAR, CAS, DCAA requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Support DCAA and financial statement audits by preparing schedules and documentation
  • Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation schedules, and prepaid expenses
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and project accounting functions
  • Record and reconcile intercompany labor, shared service, and overhead allocations
  • Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist with consolidation and elimination entries between affiliated entities
  • Ensure timely settlement of intercompany balances
  • Reconcile payroll, benefits, taxes, and labor distributions
  • Support labor transfers and project labor adjustments
  • Review timesheet compliance and process labor
  • Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions
  • Collaborate with FP&A, contracts, and operations to support accurate financial reporting for federal programs
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • At least one year in government contracting or public accounting
  • Strong knowledge of government contracting financial structures, cost accounting, and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of GAAP and reporting standards, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and general ledger
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Current CPA or CMA certification, or active progress toward obtaining a CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to pass a background screening
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, verbal, and technical communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels and work in a team environment
  • Ability to self-motivate, exercise sound judgment, solve complex problems, manage competing priorities, and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Sufficient fine motor skills for computer and calculator use and repetitive keyboarding
  • Adequate visual and communication abilities to perform essential job functions
