Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides administrative support to Clinic offices as needed
  • Submits prior authorization packages to insurance payers
  • Verifies authorization approvals and relays payment and billing/collection policy information to clinics
  • Performs detailed benefits verifications via phone or payer portal

  • Supports remote call center operations, E-fax management, pre-delivery insurance re-verifications, appointment confirmations, and other assigned duties
  • Promotes paperless workflows and technology-based processes to improve operational efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field preferred
  • One to two years of experience in the O&P industry utilizing EMR systems
  • Prior experience in Commercial, Medicare, & Medicaid Insurances
  • Working knowledge of Medicare LCD’s and Policy Articles for O&P
  • Prior experience as a Patient Care Specialist desired but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with patients, physicians, and coworkers in a tactful, informed and service-oriented manner
  • Detailed oriented
  • Problem solving/analysis, communication proficiency, and computer proficiency
