About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and submit professional claims
- Correct routine claim errors and rejections
- Work assigned billing and follow-up queues in Epic
- Apply foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payer rules
- Meet productivity, quality, and timeliness standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required
- Level 1: At least 1 year of Medical Insurance experience
- Level 2: At least 3 years of professional billing experience required
- Level 2: CPB required within 1 year of hire date
- General understanding of HIPAA and/or EOB
- Experience working with insurance companies
- Foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payer rules
- Candidates must reside and work full-time in AR, KS, MO, OK, or TX before their first day of employment
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, daytime hours, with early-morning training starting at 6:30–7:00 a.m.
- Self-motivated with problem-solving skills
