About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate day-to-day risk governance activities and regular risk review and reporting cycles
- Work with risk owners and stakeholders to maintain accurate risk information, monitor agreed actions and follow up on progress
- Support implementation and ongoing embedding of the Risk Management Framework
- Facilitate risk identification, assessment and review workshops with teams and stakeholders
- Coordinate development, maintenance and review of organisational and operational risk registers
- Review risk information for completeness, consistency and alignment with the Risk Management Framework
- Provide constructive challenge where appropriate
- Produce clear, high-quality risk reporting, analysis and management information for governance forums and decision making
- Support assurance activities and maintain accurate governance records and documentation
- Build effective relationships across the organisation and promote a pragmatic, proportionate approach to risk
- Support continuous improvement across risk governance and the wider Assurance function
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working in risk management, governance, assurance, audit or compliance within a complex organisation
- Knowledge of enterprise and operational risk management principles and governance frameworks
- Experience coordinating recurring governance, risk review or reporting processes
- Experience facilitating meetings, workshops or stakeholder discussions
- Ability to review and analyse risk information, identify gaps or inconsistencies and provide constructive challenge
- Ability to analyse information and communicate it through clear, concise reports and recommendations
- Experience producing management information, reports or governance papers
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow activities through to completion
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders across an organisation
- Excellent attention to detail, sound judgement and confidence to recognise when issues need to be escalated
- Proactive, curious and adaptable approach, with an interest in continuous improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with Jira and Confluence would be advantageous
- Relevant professional qualification or working towards one such as those offered by the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) would be advantageous but is not essential
