About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with production of short-form and long-form media, including podcast series, hosted debates, and educational content
  • Edit multiple individual MP4 files into longer content pieces from unrelated videos
  • Create visual assets to make content engaging
  • Propose strategies to improve content and engagement
  • Complete deliverables by assigned due dates on the content calendar
  • Offer ideas for topics, editing approaches, graphic design improvements, and rollout/promotion strategies for approval
  • Edit projects according to specific instructions and submit them to the Video Production Team Lead promptly
  • Understand key audiences and develop targeting strategies to drive engagement with ONC video content
  • Communicate effectively with ONC team members through Slack, email, and Zoom

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current or recent student, preferably majoring in Film, Video & Graphic Arts, Film/Video Production, or interested in Film Studies and/or Video Production
  • Familiarity with common video editing software required
  • Understanding of basic file management required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required
  • Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, including during conflict
  • Ability to work remotely and on an independent schedule while meeting deadlines
  • Google Workspace experience preferred
  • Ability to attend weekly Organization-Wide meetings
  • Ability to attend weekly Media Department meetings
  • Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
  • One-page cover letter required with application
