About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own IT's strategic layer for value-based planning, prioritization, and governance
  • Manage two contractor resources during build-out, then hire, lead, and develop a target-state team of 2–3 FTEs
  • Build the annual planning cycle, multi-year technology plan, business cases, and investment narratives
  • Establish a shared prioritization and governance model for IT work
  • Own financial operations with FP&A, including cost-center modeling, spend tracking, application ownership, forecasting inputs, and consolidated IT spend and renewal exposure
  • Own procurement, contract, and renewal management, including renewal calendars, negotiation packets, and application inventory
  • Manage contractor and SOW administration and workforce operations across multiple countries
  • Run IT's executive operating cadence, including all-hands, monthly updates, quarterly roadmap reviews, leadership meetings, and business reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years leading IT strategy for a fast-growing company
  • Familiarity with Technology Business Management (TBM) or a comparable technology operating model
  • Experience partnering with FP&A, Procurement/Legal, Enterprise Architecture, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Exceptional executive-level communication skills
  • Ability to build strategic planning, financial, and governance processes from scratch
  • Comfortable operating as the hands-on, sole builder and manager of a small team
  • Ability to operate as the strategic/prioritization layer without drifting into architecture, delivery, or platform ownership
  • Daily use of LLM assistants/agents such as Claude, with judgment and output verification
  • Ability to identify and implement AI-assisted workflows for recurring processes
