About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end category strategy and supplier execution for silicon and electrical components supporting current and next-generation hardware
- Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Hardware and Electrical Engineering, Science, Product, Finance, Legal, suppliers, and contract manufacturers
- Develop resilient, cost-optimized sourcing strategies
- Align technical and commercial requirements
- Lead RFQs and negotiations
- Drive supplier performance across capacity, clear-to-build readiness, delivery, quality, and cost
- Collaborate with EE engineering teams to align supplier product roadmaps with long-term hardware strategy and product lineup
- Secure component supply and commercial terms for production demand and engineering builds across the EE component portfolio
- Lead cost analysis at module and component level and negotiate against target cost objectives
- Own forecast alignment and supplier capacity planning for development, pilot, and mass production
- Monitor global silicon market dynamics, technology trends, capacity, and geopolitical risks
- Translate market insights into category strategies and mitigation plans
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of work experience in PCB, PCBA, FPC, or SiP sourcing or procurement
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- Proven experience in negotiating commercials and a deep understanding of should cost
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal)
- History in working supply escalations and managing forecasts and commitments with vendors
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Ability to travel 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally
- Experience working with Tier-1 FPC and PCB foundry suppliers and Surface Mount Technology partners across Asia, North America, and/or Europe
- Background in high-volume consumer electronics and CM/ODM/JDM manufacturing models is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of PCB, FPC supply chain and processes needed to produce finished goods
